Downtown Sierra City webcam – 2 blocks away

If you want to check the weather, here’s a link to a webcam in downtown Sierra City!

The view is from the Sierra Country Store looking down Main Street, which is also Highway 49. (thanks, store owners Larry and Kathy!)

The Sierra City House is located just above town, about two blocks from this webcam. Here’s the link to the store’s webcam:

A testimonial — thanks, Sean!

Just got up here a while ago and your house — let me think of the best words to describe — ROCKS!  Right above the starting line to the cross-country Downieville Classic Mountain Bike Race!

It is better than we ever expected! The kids find it an awesome adventure (and so does my wife who has some mountain girl in her from Breckenridge)!

Hearing my wife say that the owners really know how to run a rental was comfort enough for me.

Consider this my official notice that we intend to rent for next year’s Downieville Classic week!

Thanks again!

Just wanted to let you know we had a great time at The Sierra City House. It suited us perfectly, and we were very comfortable there. The downstairs area was great for the kids to play in and for adults to co-mingle. The kitchen was wonderful and very well equipped for all our needs. The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept well. Best of all, we loved the little brook flowing through. We kept our windows open so we could hear it all night long. The deck was great for dining, and we also liked the little patio in the back with the spring coming down the rock face. In short, we loved it, and we hope we have the opportunity to come back again some day (this was our first trip to Sierra City).

Nestled at the base of the scenic Sierra Buttes in the small town of Sierra City, this house has a small brook that runs year-round past the large hardwood deck. It has a stone fireplace, 100-year-old rock terrace walls and is about two blocks from the heart of town.

You can leave from the deck for hiking, mountain biking or to make your way to the North Yuba River for fly fishing, gold panning or a swim in its cool waters. A short drive will take you to trailheads for about 100 lakes or to golfing in nearby Graeagle.

This three-bedroom, 1.5 bath vacation house sleeps six comfortably with three queen beds, plus there are additional twin beds in the large downstairs bedroom and a fold-away mattress in an upstairs room.

The house is fully furnished with three queen beds, linens, a kitchen stocked with all the cooking and dining dishes you should need. It has a dvd and video player for watching movies and high-speed wireless Internet.
